State Police stats released for Cabell, Wayne
HUNTINGTON -- The West Virginia State Police recently released statistics for the month of October in Cabell and Wayne counties.
Troopers in Cabell County arrested 75 people, charging them with a total of 35 felonies and 94 misdemeanors. In Wayne County, 24 people were arrested and charged with eight felonies and 31 misdemeanors.
The number of misdemeanor citations tallied 22 in Cabell County and 19 in Wayne County.
State Police in Wayne County issued 629 traffic citations. Troopers in Cabell County issued 247.
Stolen property tallies included the recovery of four vehicles valued at $9,300 in Wayne County and two vehicles valued at $33,000 in Cabell County. Otherwise troopers in Wayne County recovered $2,050 in stolen property with another $713 in such property recovered in Cabell County.
Troopers in Cabell County responded to 487 calls for service. Wayne County troopers responded to 257.
Troopers in Cabell County took 255 reports, registered and verified 114 sex offenders and seized $940 in drugs and contraband.
In Wayne County, troopers also made one drunken driving arrest and investigated 17 motor vehicle crashes, along with taking 87 criminal reports involving 155 offenses.
