Culloden VFD gets new equipment

November 14, 2012 @ 12:00 AM

CULLODEN -- The Culloden Volunteer Fire Department recently received a grant from Sen. Evan Jenkins' office which allowed it to purchase new rescue equipment totaling more than $6,000.

Fire chief Jason Burger and members of the department received training on how to use the new equipment on Saturday, Nov. 10, at the station.

Paul Niedbalski provided training on the department's new Res-Q-Jack equipment. The Res-Q-Jack is a source for lifting struts, stabilization struts, extrication struts, rescue struts and more. It's applications go beyond vehicle extrication to include confined space, forcible entry, light aircraft, collapse shoring, farm rescue, overhead door support and more.
