Blotter: Multiple car break-ins reported in Huntington
The following information was provided by reports filed with the Huntington Police Department:
BREAKING AND ENTERING: A 37-year-old man reported someone broke into his vehicle while it was parked at a business along Buffington Street Thursday morning and took a firearm worth $800 and a duffle bag worth $25. The vehicle sustained $250 in damage.
LARCENY: A 28-year-old man reported someone broke a window out of his vehicle while it was parked in the 2400 block of 1st Avenue late Thursday night and took a backpack containing $1,650 in electronics.
BURGLARY: A 25-year-old woman reported someone forced entry into her apartment in the 1700 block of 6th Avenue Thursday evening and took $3,600 in electronics.
STOLEN AUTO: A 52-year-old man reported his pickup truck, worth $4,000, was stolen from the 600 block of 6th Avenue sometime between Tuesday and Thursday.
The following information was provided by reports filed with the Marshall University Police Department:
PETIT LARCENY: A 19-year-old student reported that sometime between Nov. 7 and 9, someone stole her purse from her vehicle, which was parked in a lot in the 1600 block kof 3rd Avenue. She was not sure if the vehicle was locked.
PETIT LARCENY: A 25-year-old student reported that he left his cell phone on the first floor of Drinko Library just before 7 p.m. Sunday. When he returned from the second floor to retrieve it, it was gone.
The following information was provided by booking records at the Western Regional Jail in Barboursville:
Mark R. Marcum, 34, was incarcerated at 3:30 p.m. Friday. Authorities in Wayne County charged him with felony daytime burglary and felony grand larceny. Bond was $20,000.
Charles Kelly Glover, 46, was incarcerated at 11:20 a.m. Friday. Authorities in Putnam County charged him with a felony bail piece. Bond was denied.
Kenneth Earl Wiley, 50, was incarcerated at 1:30 a.m. Friday. Authorities in Lincoln County charged him with being a felon in possession of a firearm. Bond was denied pending arraignment.
Devin Keith Rice, 25, was incarcerated Thursday evening. Authorities in Wayne County charged him with felony grand larceny and burglary. Bond was denied pending arraignment.
