Celebrate your engagement, wedding and anniversary in The Herald-Dispatch

Sep. 22, 2011 @ 01:35 PM

Engagement, wedding and anniversary couples can select from a variety of packages ranging from $50 to $205 or more, based on the length of the article and the size of the photograph.

Click here for more information on packages and how to submit your information.

The Herald-Dispatch provides basic wedding and engagement announcements at no charge (50 words or less with no photo), but allows expanded announcements and photographs for a fee. (Paid celebrations get 10 delivered newspapers the date that the announcement runs.)

All announcements appear in the Sunday editions.

Here is how to publicize your personal celebrations:

Weddings: Free wedding announcements should meet general standards of timeliness and be published within two months after the wedding. Free announcements received after that time will be published as space allows. Paid wedding announcements will be placed on the Sunday requested.

Engagements: Free engagement announcements should meet the general standards of timeliness and be published six weeks in advance of the wedding. Free announcements will be published as space allows. Paid engagement announcements will be placed on the Sunday requested.

Anniversaries: 25th and 50th wedding anniversaries and every 10th year thereafter will be published at no charge with up to 50 words and a photo. For other anniversaries, you may select a paid option.

Deadlines: All announcements are published on Sunday and must be received by 3 p.m. Tuesday, five days before publication. (For holiday deadline information, call us at 304-526-2793.)

Photographs: For good reproduction, photos should be of professional quality. An informative guideline sheet on the use of photos is available.
