Accomplished W.Va. authors to be featured at drug store
BARBOURSVILLE -- Drug Emporium will host Mountain State Author Day and Booksigning at its Barboursville location from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7.
The activity will feature two of West Virginia's most accomplished writers, Bram Stoker Award winner Michael Knost and Frank Larnerd.
Knost, from Chapmanville, W.Va., is a 2009 Bram Stoker Award-winning editor and writer in the horror and thriller genres. His columns have appeared in Fangoria and Shroud magazines. He is the editor of "Legends of the Mountain State" series; "Dark Tales of Terror"; "Specters in Coal Dust"; and "The Mothman Files." He is also a contributing writer in "Hills of Fire: Bare-Knuckle Tales of Appalachia." He is currently working on an anthology with New York Times bestselling author Jonathon Maberry, entitled, "Redneck Zombies from Outer Space."
Larnerd, from Winfield, is an award-winning author and senior editor of the anthology, "Hills of Fire: Bare-Knuckle Tales of Appalachia." He is also a contributor to "Mountain Magic: Spellbinding Tales of Appalachia" and "Fed From the Blade." He is also a past winner of West Virginia State University's Annual Essay Contest.
Both authors are member of the Thriller Writers Association and the West Virginia Writers Association.
