Barboursville announces music, fireworks for July Fourth
BARBOURSVILLE — The Village of Barboursville will add some music and fireworks to celebrate an otherwise soccer-filled Independence Day weekend.
The village’s July Fourth celebration begins at 7 p.m. at the Barboursville Park Amphitheater.
South of the River Band takes the stage at 7 p.m. It will be followed by Soundtastic Enterprises at 9 p.m.
Fireworks shoot into the night sky at 10 p.m.
All of the entertainment is free and open to the public.
Those festivities will coincide with the U.S. Youth Soccer Region I Championships. More than 20,000 visitors are expected for the tournament this weekend. Games take place at the soccer complex in Barboursville Park and the YMCA Kennedy Center along W.Va. 2.
