Junior College making software changes to reduce paper use

June 30, 2009 @ 11:33 AM

HUNTINGTON — Huntington Junior College will implement ImageNow software in its admissions, academics and financial aid departments in an effort to reduce paperwork and create a better digital database.

Creator Perceptive Software’s technology will facilitate an integration between the program and the college’s CampusVue system.

College officials say the program’s instant document access will help with document sharing capabilities and boost employee productivity. The college expects to see benefits by eliminating large amounts of paper and manual processes.

”By reducing the college's dependence on paper, ImageNow will help us reduce paper costs and allow us to realize time savings by eliminating manual processes,” said Cathy Snoddy, Huntington Junior College Financial Aid assistant director.

More than 350 institutions and 900 campuses worldwide utilize ImageNow to streamline processes and enhance productivity in a variety of departments.
