HUNTINGTON -- A Huntington building that was undergoing renovations sustained substantial damage late Tuesday from a fire.

Cabell County 911 received word of the fire at 11:02 p.m. Tuesday. It was located in the 300 block of 4th Avenue.

Huntington Fire Deputy Chief Jeffrey Earl said early indications are the fire started on the first floor at the back of the building. Its flames spread to the second floor and to the attic.

No injuries were reported, Earl said.

The incident will undergo a routine investigation, Earl said.

Fourth Avenue was shut down for a couple of hours while firefighters put out the blaze.
