Wrestling, mud bogs big draws at county fair
ASHLAND -- The battle was on Wednesday night at the Boyd County Fair, and a bigger battle is set to take place at the fairgrounds Thursday evening.
New Ohio Championship Wrestling dominated the fair Wednesday night, and the first of two mud bogs to take place during the fair is slated to begin at 7 p.m. Thursday evening at the motor sports arena on the Boyd County Fairgrounds.
Other events taking place Thursday include livestock events, which begin at 5 p.m. in the livestock barns and the Boyd County Fair Children's Pageant, which begins at 7 p.m.
The Boyd County Fair will continue through Saturday, July 27.
Admission to the fair is $8 per person, and parking costs $1. Gates open at 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday and at 1 p.m. Saturday.
