Art auction to be conducted April 23

HUNTINGTON -- Marshall University's Florence Study Abroad program will host an art auction at Black Sheep Burritos and Brews in Huntington at 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 23.

The works of art available for purchase range in size and are mostly created by the faculty artists at in the College of Fine Arts. Those who attend will be able to bid on other items and services donated by the community.

Proceeds from the auction will be used to create a cultural fund for the May 2013 Florence Study Abroad program. Marshall students traveling to Florence will explore the city while taking interdisciplinary courses in photography and writing. The auction proceeds will provide funding for day trips, during which students will visit areas in Italy outside of Florence, such as Siena and Assisi.

The restaurant is located at 1555 3rd Ave., Huntington.
