School bus drivers, personnel to be honored
Drivers and maintenance personnel for the Cabell County School Bus System will be honored through the "Apples for the Educators" project during National Education Week, Sunday, Nov. 15 through Saturday, Nov. 21.
Huntington Unit No. 16, American Legion Auxilary volunteers will deliver apples Thursday, Nov. 19 to the bus garage in Barboursville to honor those who transport Cabell County children to their respective schools.
ALA members say these school personnel have a direct impact on the education of children and should be remembered the same as teachers, educators and service personnel have in the past.
This is the eighth year unit No. 16 has delivered for the "Apples for the Educators" project.
