Man charged in shooting at Riverfront Park
HUNTINGTON — A convicted felon from Gallia County, Ohio, has been arrested in connection with shots fired from a semi-automatic pistol at Harris Riverfront Park.
Billy Jack Ferguson, 30, of Crown City, Ohio, was charged with felony wanton endangerment and being a felon in possession of a firearm, along with misdemeanor carrying a concealed weapon. Bond was set at $25,000.
Criminal complaints charge Ferguson with twice shooting a .32 caliber pistol at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday at Harris Riverfront Park. The gun was fired in the vicinity of multiple people, according to the complaint.
Additional complaints, all filed in Cabell County Magistrate Court, state Ferguson carried the gun in his pants. He was prohibited from possessing any firearm at the time due to a January 2011 drug trafficking conviction in Gallia County.
No injuries were reported as result of the incident.
