2 arrested on heroin trafficking charges
CATLETTSBURG, Ky. -- Two men were arrested Saturday on heroin trafficking charges in Catlettsburg, Ky., according to a release from The Boyd County Sheriff's Department.
Kevin M. Holmes Jr. and Adrian D. Ludaway, both 23 and of Detroit, are being held in the Boyd County Detention Center.
Undercover officers with the Boyd County Sheriff's Department Drug Task Force bought more than two grams of heroin from two men at a hotel parking lot in Catlettsburg, according to the release. Deputies then attempted to conduct a traffic stop, and the suspects fled. After a chase, the suspects were forced off the road and arrested. Holmes, the driver, was taken to the hospital with injuries and released.
Holmes is charged with first degree trafficking a controlled substance, fleeing or evading police, wanton endangerment and operating on an expired license.
Ludaway is charged with first degree complicity to traffic a controlled substance.
More arrests are pending an investigation, according to the release.
