Aug. 29, 2013 @ 12:00 AM

ASHLAND -- The Ashland Police Department seized a large amount of oxycodone and made two arrests Tuesday evening, according to a press release issued by the agency.

Cody Osborn, 19, of Ashland, and Scott Maybee of Greenup, Ky., were charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance. Maybee faces additional counts of tampering with physical evidence and carrying a concealed deadly weapon.

Osborn and Maybee were incarcerated at the Boyd County Detention Center.

The incident happened at 11:25 p.m. Tuesday in the 2500 block of Winchester Avenue. Investigators believe those involved intended to sell the oxycodone pills.
