W.Va. offers training on green preservation

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — A state agency is holding a training workshop on environmentally friendly historic preservation.

The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design workshop will be held Monday and Tuesday at the Culture Center in Charleston.

The State Historic Preservation Office is sponsoring the workshop for preservationists, architects, engineers, real estate professionals and others.

The agency says the training will focus on how to combine historic preservation standards with environmentally friendly designs.
