Summer Sunday afternoon yoga class starting today in Hamlin
HAMLIN — Lincoln County native Lacy Davidson, a registered yoga teacher with Studio 8 of Huntington, is starting a new summer yoga series “Introduction to Yoga” classes starting at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 15.
The classes will take place at the Lincoln Primary Care WELL Center, located at 7400 Lynn Ave., Hamllin.
West Virginia native Lacy Davidson graduated from Marshall University in 2010, where she was a college athlete. She recently received her Masters of Science in Nutritional Science and Dietetics from Loma Linda University, and Registered Yoga Teacher 200 certification at Western Yoga College in Southern California.
At Studio 8, she offers nutrition consultations as well as vinyasa yoga classes.
All ages and experience levels welcome. Davidson states that yoga can help give peace of mind, bring more oxygen to the brain, increase lung capacity, decrease lactic acid in the muscles and decrease joint pain, increase metabolism and help with digestion, help with posture, increase arm strength and flexibility.
