Wayne County Fair to kick off Saturday with horse show

Here’s a look at the full schedule for the Wayne County Fair
 
For the second year, the Wayne County Fair is bringing the fun up to the family-run Camden Park.

 The historic amusement park, located along U.S. 60 (at the sign of the happy clown) between Huntington and Ceredo, will host the Fair from Tuesday, Aug. 6 through Friday, Aug. 9.

Saturday, Aug. 3

8:30 a.m.     Registration for Open Horse Show

10:00 a.m. Open Horse Show – Show will be held at the Shirley Burgess Park (Rte 152 & Garrett’s Creek Rd).

Tuesday, Aug.  6
4 p.m. Gates Open
5 p.m.   Opening Ceremonies and Rides Start
6 p.m.   Beauty Pageant at Camden Park
 
Wednesday, Aug. 7
4 p.m. Gates Open
5  p.m. Rides Start
7 p.m. The Ronnie McDowell Show

Thursday, Aug. 8
4 p.m. Gates Open
5 p.m. Rides Start
7 p.m. Bluegrass Music with bluegrass hall of fame member Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver

Friday, Aug. 9
4 p.m. Gates Open
4:30 p.m. Children Games including:  Sack Race, Bubble Gum Blowing, Three Leg Race, Egg Toss, Watermelon Seed Spitting and  Water Balloon Toss
