ROAD TESTED, ROCK STRONG: Local guitarist Bud Carroll, whose band AC30 performs at the V Club tonight, July 6, has had a taste of the big time when it comes to the music business. While in his early 20s, he joined the band American Minor, which toured with many top name acts such as the Allman Brothers Band and Tom Petty. Eventually, American Minor went the way of many a group that had a shot at success and eventually disbanded, so Carroll returned to the Tri-State. He has fronted quite a few bands since then and has appeared on the home state radio show gem, Mountain Stage. Read more on our Life page.
