High temperature will near record
HUNTINGTON — Temperatures will make a run at record territory Tuesday afternoon, but could come up a bit short.
The National Weather Service predicts Tuesday’s high temperature will reach 70 degrees. The record is 74 degrees set in 1982.
Rain showers arrive after 5 p.m. Tuesday and will continue into Wednesday morning. The low dips to 43 degrees.
Sunshine will bring a high temperature in the mid 50s Wednesday. Skies remain clear overnight allowing the temperature to fall to 27 degrees.
Thursday features mostly sunny skies. The high will reach 53 degrees. Showers return overnight with a low near 44.
Friday brings an increased chance of rain showers. The high reaches 58 degrees followed by a low of 42.
The rain showers will continue Saturday when the high approaches 58 degrees.
