Cabell County Commission to advertise for sidewalk project
HUNTINGTON — Cabell County Commissioners will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, in the commission chambers on the third floor of the Cabell County Courthouse.
The agenda includes a resolution to advertise for bids to remove and replace all the sidewalks on courthouse property.
There is approximately 20,000 square feet of sidewalk encompassing the grounds. The West Virginia Courthouse Facilities Improvement Authority approved a $100,000 grant in the fall, and the commission has $62,000 to put toward the project.
The project is expected to start in the spring.
Thursday's agenda also includes discussion and possible action to release four vehicles from the sheriff's office to give to volunteer fire departments in the county. Two would go to the Milton and one each to Ohio River Road and Ona.
