American Lung Association to host event at Marshall
HUNTINGTON -- The American Lung Association in West Virginia will host the 2013 Huntington Fight For Air Climb, a stair-climbing competition, from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 23, at Marshall University's Joan C. Edwards Stadium, 2001 3rd Ave., Huntington.
Participants, teams or individuals will climb up and down the stairs of the stadium to raise awareness for the 35 million Americans who suffer from lung disease. Participants are asked to raise $100 to climb and pay $25 to register. All proceeds support lung disease prevention programs, research and advocacy efforts.
Climbers will be professionally timed, but there is no time limit when climbing. The American Lung Association will host a health fair and kids' fun zone at the event.
