Blotter: Multiple car break-ins reported along 6th Street

The following information was provided by reports filed with the Huntington Police Department:

BREAKING AND ENTERING (AUTO): Three people reported their vehicles were broken into while they were parked along 6th between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.

A 22-year-old man reported someone forced entry into his locked vehicle while it was parked in the 600 block of 11th Avenue and took $1,600 in cash and change.

A 34-year-old man reported someone broke out the passenger side window of his vehicle while it was parked in the 600 block of 9 1/2 Alley, but he said nothing was missing from the vehicle at the time of the report.

A 46-year-old man reported someone forced entry into his vehicle while it was parked in the 600 block of 9th Street and took a DVD monitor and player, worth $350, from the dashboard of the vehicle, which sustained $150 in damage.

LARCENY: An employee with 1st Degree Rental in the 400 block of West 18th Street reported someone removed the catalytic converter from a company vehicle sometime between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning. The vehicle sustained $2,400 in damage.

BREAKING AND ENTERING (AUTO): Two people reported someone broke into their vehicles while they were parked along Piedmont Road between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.

An 18-year-old man reported someone smashed out his driver's side window and took about $4 in change from his car, which sustained $150 in damage.

A 20-year-old woman reported someone got into her unlocked car and took her wallet, containing $15.

BURGLARY: A 37-year-old man reported someone entered his residence in the 200 block of 6th Avenue on Wednesday afternoon and took $1,448 in electronics.

LARCENY: A 21-year-old woman reported someone took $700 in electronics and $800 in cash from her residence in the 4200 block of Hughes Street between Jan. 8 and Feb. 2. One of the missing electronics was located at a local pawn shop. Police have a suspect.

The following information was provided by booking records at the Western Regional Jail in Barboursville:

Samuel Curtis Smith, 26, was incarcerated at 3:10 p.m. Thursday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with a felony bench warrant. Bond was denied.

Kimberly Dawn Holley, 26, was incarcerated at 3:10 p.m. Thursday. Authorities in Cabell County charged her with a felony bench warrant. Bond was denied.

Tammy Marie McDaniel, 35, was incarcerated at 1:15 p.m. Thursday. Authorities in Putnam County charged her with a felony bail piece. Bond was denied.
