Workshops planned for spring backyard gardeners
CHARLESTON -- The West Virginia State University Extension Service is planning a series of workshops for backyard gardeners preparing for spring at the Barnett Center, 1524 10th Ave. in Huntington.
The courses will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on the following dates: Feb. 26: Site Selection and Preparation; March 12: Garden Design and Plant Spacing; March 26: Plant Selection and Growing Techniques; April 23: Raised Beds and Container Gardening; and April 30: Insect and Disease Management.
