St. Mary's chef demonstrates two healthy dishes at Macy's
BARBOURSVILLE -- Valentine's Day called for a healthy heart cooking demonstration, Simple Cooking for Heart, sponsored by the American Heart Association and St. Mary's Medical Center at the Huntington Mall.
The demonstration featured St. Mary's chef Jeremy Lucas, who prepared two simple, heart-healthy items -- a salmon dish and black bean corn relish -- and educational information from the American Heart Association.
Nearly 70 percent of Americans are overweight, and more than 30 percent are obese. Obesity is a major risk for heart disease, the nation's No. 1 killer.
