'MyFreeTaxes' program sites available locally
HUNTINGTON -- Goodwill Industries of KYOWVA and the Financial Stability Partnership of the River Cities have partnered to bring additional MyFreeTaxes program sites to the Tri-State.
The sites will be available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the following dates and locations: Monday, March 11, at the Ashland Goodwill; Tuesday, March 12, at the Pikeville Goodwill; Wednesday, March 13, at the Williamson Goodwill; and Friday, March 15, at HIMG in Huntington.
United Way Worldwide, Goodwill Industries and the National Institute for Disabilities are offering MyFreeTaxes to those who are just outside of the VITA guidelines. With funds through a Walmart Foundation grant, the program helps individuals with an income of $57,000 and less get free access to H&R Block's tax-filing software for both state and federal returns.
