Group presents Renaissance show

Dec. 07, 2012 @ 11:30 AM

HUNTINGTON -- A tradition for the ages lived on at Cabell Midland High School Friday night, when the school's Collegium Musicum presented its 19th annual Christmas Madrigal dinner at the school.

The Collegium Musicum is a Renaissance-style costumed ensemble of singers from all grades. Every year, they present an original, student-written and produced show that serves as their only performance fundraiser, said Ed Harkless, director of the group.

The students performed to a sold-out show Friday night, and Harkless said a limited number of tickets remained for the next performance at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at the school.

Tickets to the event are $15, and they can be purchased at the door or online by visiting www.cmhscollegiummusicum.org.
