Woman injured after storage building collapse
BARBOURSVILLE -- A 49-year-old woman was injured Monday afternoon when a building collapsed near Barboursville.
Firefighters received word of the collapse about 1 p.m. Monday. The woman had been removing paneling from a wood storage building when the roof and building unexpectedly collapsed, said Paul Hockenberry of the Barboursville Volunteer Fire Department.
Hockenberry estimated it took crews about 25 minutes to free the woman from the fallen debris. He was unsure as to the severity of her injuries.
The incident occurred in the unit block of Meacham Drive, which is located within Guyan Estates off Alternate W.Va. 10.
