Sobriety checkpoint tonight in Scioto County
PORTSMOUTH, Ohio — The Ohio State Highway Patrol has announced that a multi-agency OVI sobriety checkpoint will be tonight (Saturday night) in Scioto County.
The checkpoint is funded with federal grant funds. It is designed to deter and intercept impaired drivers.
Sobriety checkpoints are a safe and effective deterrent to impaired driving and are the ideal complement in the state’s OVI enforcement efforts,” said Lt. Edward Crispen, commander of the Portsmouth Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol.
