Exhibit showcases local miniature art

HUNTINGTON -- Local artists are preparing for the 12th annual National Miniature Exhibition at Renaissance Art Gallery. Artwork submitted for the show is due by Monday, Oct. 15, and includes all fine art medium except photography.

The exhibition is a showcase of art all small or smaller than a 5-inch by 5-inch square. Previous years' competitions have included hundreds of art pieces from more than 50 artists in 17 states.

The exhibition will open with a reception Sunday, Nov. 4, and will run through Sunday, Dec. 9. The show will take place in the gallery at the old Huntington High School, 900 8th St., Huntington.
