Food Bank to collect food at Walmart stores
HUNTINGTON — Huntington Area Food Bank and Mountaineer Food Bank will be collecting nonperishable foods at all 36 Walmart stores in West Virginia through the month of September.
September is Hunger Action Month, and food banks in West Virginia are partnering with Walmart for the a statewide food drive.
Barrels will be placed at the front entrances of stores and recommended donations include canned foods, cereal bars, peanut butter, macaroni and cheese, pasta and boxed meals.
