Church to celebrate Human Rights Day
HUNTINGTON — The Greater Huntington Unit of Church Women United will celebrate Human Rights Day at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, at Bates Memorial Presbyterian Church.
The theme of the program will be “Living the Challenge, Differently Enabled, Uniquely Called.” The program is meant to encourage everyone to be more aware of people with physical, mental and emotional disabilities and to seek universal human rights for them. Several “Outstanding Young Church Women” from area churches will be recognized and honored for their work in their churches and community.
