Donald Lee Black, 63, of Chesapeake, Ohio, died Sunday at River's Bend Nursing Home. A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday at Rome Cemetery with burial to follow. JAKE CLARK, 87, of Huntington, W.Va., died Saturday. He served in the U.S. Army in W.W.II. and was a forest fire warden for Wayne County. RAYMOND E. “RIP” DeBORD JR., 76, of Barboursville, husband of Sheena Mayo DeBord, died Saturday at St. Mary’s Medical Center. He was a retired employee of Owens-Illinois Glass Company. CLIFFORD “STANLEY” ELKINS, 52, of Spurlockville, husband of Susie “Roberts” Elkins, died Saturday. He was a skilled laborer for Greenwood Inc. DENZIL FENDER, 62, formerly of Chapmanville, died Sunday at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington. Arrangements are incomplete at Evans Funeral Home, Chapmanville.
James Hagley, 84, of Scottown, Ohio, died Sept. 5, 2010 at Holzer Medical Center Gallipolis, Ohio. He served in the Army during the Korean War and he was a retired mechanic from Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad. Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hall Funeral Home. HAZEL JOHNSON, 85, of Melvin, widow of Homer Johnson, died Sunday at Highlands Regional Medical Center, Prestonsburg. She was a homemaker. CLARENCE JUNIOR JONES, 77, of Huntington, husband of Aileen “Neen” Jones, died Sunday at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington. He retired from building maintenance for the former Barboursville State Hospital and Children’s Place. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Helen Mae (Dabney) Kinnaird of Mason County, W.Va., died Sunday. She served as a pianist for many years at various churches throughout Mason County.
