Suspect arrested in recent home invasion

Mar. 29, 2013 @ 07:45 AM

HUNTINGTON -- Authorities have arrested a man who, one detective said, held a knife to a woman's throat during a home invasion last week.

Timothy Allen McComas was incarcerated at 3:05 a.m. Friday in the Western Regional Jail. He had been named in an arrest warrant for first-degree murder, according to jail records and Huntington Police Detective Ryan Bentley.

The warrant is in connection with an armed robbery at a home in the 1100 block of 9th Avenue last Saturday afternoon, said Bentley.

In the incident report filed with the department, the victim said a man entered her home and held a knife against her neck, demanding money and medications. The woman's husband provided the man with cash and prescription medication, and the man fled the apartment, according to the report.

Bentley said McComas has a lengthy criminal history.
