MCTC offers several non-credit courses for spring

HUNTINGTON -- Mountwest Community and Technical College will offer several non-credit courses in continuing education for spring.

These courses include:

Beginning Photography, 6 to 8 p.m., Mondays, April 1 through May 20.

Advanced Photography, 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesdays, May 21 through July 9.

Watch and Clock Repair, 7 to 9 p.m., Mondays, April 8 through May 13.

Professional Medical Coding, 5 to 9 p.m., Tuesdays, May 21 through Sept. 17.

MCTC hosts graduation countdown expo April 4

HUNTINGTON -- Mountwest Community and Technical College will host a graduation countdown expo from 1 to 6 p.m. Thursday, April 4, in the Mountwest lobby.

Students can check in with the registrar, financial aid, career services, alumni affairs and the bookstore. They'll also be able to purchase academic regalia, announcements, diploma frames, class rings and other commemorative items.

Kiwanis Club Spaghetti Dinner to be held April 5

HUNTINGTON -- The 17th Annual Spaghetti Dinner, sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Huntington, will take place from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, April 5, at First United Methodist Church, 1124 5th Ave.

The annual event benefits Kiwanis Day Care Center and other Kiwanis service programs.

The menu will include spaghetti with meatballs and sauce, salad, garlic bread, beverage and dessert. Take-out dinners are also available.

The cost is $8 per person. Patron/corporate benefactor packs of 15 tickets for $100 are also available. For ticket packs, see a member of the Kiwanis Club or call 304-736-7530.
