Collins Career Center students attend prom night at Keith-Albee
HUNTINGTON -- There was no mystery as to how to have a good time at Collins Career Center's prom Friday night at the Keith-Albee Performing Arts Center.
About 400 students and their dates lined the sidewalks along 4th Avenue to attend the "Phantom of the Prom" event.
The prom was followed by an after-prom event at Strike Zone in Huntington.
It was an exciting night for Linzi Lewis, a science teacher at the school, who coordinated the prom.
"Something like this is a once in a lifetime event for these students," she said. "Especially the Keith-Albee -- I think there are a lot of them that didn't even know this place existed because they don't have the chance to come here and see movies. I think it is wonderful that they will get the chance to see this place in this light, and they'll get to have this wonderful experience here."
