WVSU names NJ administrator associate provost
INSTITUTE, W.Va. (AP) — A New Jersey college administrator has been named associate provost and associate vice president for academic affairs at West Virginia State University.
Kimberly D. Whitehead begins her new duties in Institute on Monday.
The Smithfield, Va., native has served as associate dean and director of academic services at Rowan University’s Camden, N.J., campus since 2010. She previously worked at Shaw University in Raleigh, N.C., and Bowie State University in Bowie, Md.
Whitehead earned her bachelor’s degree from Norfolk State University and her doctorate in genetics from North Carolina State University.
