Everyone escapes South Point fire
SOUTH POINT, Ohio — Everybody safely escaped a house fire early Wednesday in South Point, Ohio, according to Lawrence County 911.
Dispatchers received word of the fire at 4:30 a.m. It damaged a house in the 800 block of 4th Street East, also konw as Lawrence County 1 near Rose Street.
Crews had the flames knocked down, but remained on scene at 7:25 a.m.
The fire was called in by one of the home’s occupants and a passerby. No injuries were reported.
The South Point Volunteer Fire Department received assistance from volunteer firefighters in Burlington-Fayette Township and Perry Township.
