State to investigate Culloden fire
CULLODEN — The state Fire Marshal’s Office has been asked to investigate an early Wednesday fire in Culloden.
Cabell County 911 received word of the fire at 1:05 a.m. It was located in the 2600 block of Benedict Road, a rural route off Virginia Avenue and north of Interstate 64 in Culloden.
Dispatchers indicate the fire occurred at a vacant house. No injuries were reported.
The Culloden Volunteer Fire Department received assistance from volunteers in Milton and Putnam County.
