Police investigate potential overdose at motel
HUNTINGTON — West Virginia State Police are investigating a potential drug overdose, which claimed a woman’s life early Wednesday at a motel near Huntington.
State Police Sgt. G.N. Losh said troopers responded to a call about 1:30 a.m. from the Days Inn motel. It is located in the 5100 block of U.S. 60 near its 29th Street interchange with Interstate 64.
The woman was pronounced dead at an area hospital, Losh said.
Troopers are following leads in their investigation, however no criminal charges had been filed as of early Wednesday.
