DAVID W. ALFORD, 66, of Ona, W.Va., husband of Bonnie Irwin Alford, died Feb.  7 at the Hospice House of Citrus County, Lecanto, Fla. He retired from BASF. A celebration of life will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Feb. 22 at Calvary Baptist Church, 3653 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane, W.Va.

JIMMY RAY BROCK, 65, of Huntington,  W.Va., died Feb. 9 in St. Mary's Medical Center. He was a former coal miner. Graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, Highland Cemetery Annex, Huntington. Chapman's Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

GEORGIA MARIE FARRIS, 89, of Huntington, died Feb. 9 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Funeral service 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Burial at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Visitation one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

IRA FARRIS, 76, of Proctorville, Ohio, died Feb. 7 in Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. SHARON KAYE HALL, 65, of Wayland, Ky., wife of Donnie Hall, died Feb. 11 in St. Joseph Hospital, Martin, Ky. She was a Registered Nurse at Highlands Regional Medical Center. CLAUDIA KAY HUSTON, 67, formerly of Ashland, Ky., widow of P.R. Huston, died Jan. 31 in Chicago, Ill., where she was residing. She had been a flight attendant for Eastern Airlines. MARY LOU LYON, 53, of Ashland, died Feb. 10 at home. She was an X Ray Tech/Administrative Assistant with Take Care Health Systems at AK Steel.
