Armed robbery report unfounded

HUNTINGTON — Investigators say a reported armed robbery was unfounded.

The Cabell County Sheriff’s Office responded to the alleged call. The man who reported the incident told authorities another person demanded money with a knife about 9:15 a.m. Monday along Cherry Lawn Road. The location is between Huntington and Barboursville.

Cabell County Sheriff’s Sgt. Ron Bruce said the incident was unfounded. Investigators believe the incident was an attempt to obtain medication without a prescription.
