HURSEL ADKINS, 78, of Harts, W.Va., husband of Doris Lambert Adkins, died April 29 at home. He retired from the General Motors Foundry in Defiance, Ohio. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, W.Va.; burial in Highland Memory Gardens, Pecks Mill, W.Va. VIRGINIA DOLLIE BATEMAN, 64, of Gallipolis Ferry, W.Va., died April 29. Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Beale Chapel Cemetery, Apple Grove, W.Va. There will be no visitation. Arrangements by Deal Funeral Home, Point Pleasant, W.Va.

PHILLIP B. BLEVINS, 55, formerly of Huntington, W.Va., died April 22. A memorial service will be held at noon Saturday, Emmanuel Community Church, 1458 28th Street, Huntington.

SAMUEL LEE BOYD, 82, of Banner, Ky., widower of Alice Boyd, died April 29 in Riverview Nursing Home. He was a retired coal miner. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Little Salem Old Regular Baptist Church, Dana, Ky.; burial in Brayden Boyd Cemetery, Banner. Visitation continues until service time at the church. GENE BRUMFIELD, 84, of Logan, W.Va., husband of Eula Brumfield, died April 29 in Logan Regional Medical Center. He was a self-employed accountant.
