Police blotter: Two face charges after being found in stolen vehicle

Reports from the Huntington Police Department provided the following information:

Camile Wells, 36, and Eddie McCoy, 41, both of Huntington, were arrested on felony charges of receiving and transferring stolen property in the 600 block of Trenton Place around 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

The arrest came after officers found two men inside a stolen vehicle. One man was attempting to start the vehicle with a kitchen knife.

CARRYING A CONCEALED AND DANGEROUS WEAPON: Jesse Ray Phillips, 41, was charged with one felony count of second offense carrying a concealed and dangerous weapon and one count of public intoxication when he was arrested around the 600 block of 6th Street on Saturday night. A six-inch fixed blade was confiscated.

BURGLARY: Someone forced entry to a residence in the 900 block of 7th Street sometime between 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. Friday, taking more than $8,100 in items, including a Sony PlayStation, Sony PlayStation3, Xbox360, iPod, a 40-inch television, Nintendo Wii, a jewelry box, GameBoy, various games and other items.

BURGLARY: An unknown suspect reportedly forced open a window to a residence in the 600 block of 9th Avenue sometime between 5:30 p.m. Friday and 12:10 a.m. Saturday, taking a Dell desktop computer and Comcast cable modem.

Reports from the Cabell County Sheriff's Department and the Western Regional Jail provided the following information:

A Salt Rock man reported that known suspects went to his residence on Friday. The male suspect wrestled him as two female suspects entered and reportedly took $500 from his wallet. The victim also reported that the male suspect earlier knocked over and damaged his Honda VFR 800.
