Tickets available for W.Va. state fair
LEWISBURG, W.Va. (AP) — The State Fair of West Virginia is selling discount tickets ahead of the August event.
The 2013 State Fair is set to take place Aug. 9-17. This year’s theme is “Feel the Magic.”
Officials say discounted tickets will be available through the State Fair box office, online or by phone through Aug. 3. Tickets are also available through other locations through the end of July.
Gate admission discounts include an $8.25 adult ticket and a $7.25 youth ticket. Discount carnival passes also are available. Concert tickets are not offered at a discounted rate.
Officials say the fair has a $13.8 million economic impact on the state of West Virginia.
