BARNEY MICHAEL “BITSY” BLACKBURN, 72, of Detroit, Mich., formerly of Kentucky, husband of Phyllis Kendrick Blackburn, died June 27 at Botsford Hospital, Michigan. JAMES EDWARD BROWN, 83, of South Point, Ohio, husband of Lillian Coffman Brown, died June 29 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. He was an Army Korean War veteran and retired from U.S.S. Chemical and Allied Chemical. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at Phillips Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
