HUNTINGTON  — The week will start off mostly sunny in the Tri-State and be that way toward the end of the week, but between showers and thunderstorms may visit the region, according to the National Weather Service.

Here's the forecast for the Huntington area:

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 80.

Sunday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 55.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 81.

Monday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 59.

Tuesday: A slight chance of showers between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m., then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 86. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tuesday night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 3 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 68. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.

Wednesday: A chance of showers before 1 p.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m., then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 2 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 84. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.

Wednesday night: Showers and thunderstorms likely. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 70. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.

Thursday: Showers and thunderstorms likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 84. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.
