Studio 8 Yoga to host stress, tension clinic
HUNTINGTON -- Joan St. Clair and Nichole Webb are presenting a workshop titled "Let Go of Chronic Tension & Stress" from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 1, at Studio 8 Yoga & Wellness, 803 8th Ave. The cost is $30.
The workshop aims to help participants relieve chronic tension and stress in their bodies. They'll discuss stress from a mind-body perspective and teach gentle movements, breathing exercises, mindfulness and other strategies for improving the mind and body's reaction to stress.
Webb is a licensed professional counselor who specializes in holistic treatment of depression, anxiety and relationship issues. She can be found online at www.myheartcoach.com. St. Clair is the owner of Studio 8 and a master yoga teacher.
The workshop is open to anyone who suffers from stress and/or body aches like neck pain, headaches, back aches or irritability. No yoga experience is necessary.
Southside Elementary to host spaghetti dinner
HUNTINGTON -- Southside Elementary School, 200 10th Ave, Huntington, is hosting a spaghetti dinner from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, to raise funds for a fifth-grade trip to the Columbus Zoo.
Dinners are $5 and include spaghetti, salad, a roll and a drink. Take-out orders will be available. Bake sale and raffle items will be available at extra cost.

Prestera annual benefit will be March 15
HUNTINGTON -- The Prestera Foundation's Annual Benefit in Huntington is set for March 15, and the theme is "Swish the Night Away" to coincide with March Madness for basketball fans. It will be in the Don Morris Room at Marshall University.
Guests are encouraged to dress casually, and even wear their favorite team apparel. The event will feature a dance band and dinner, a silent auction and a cash raffle drawing.

Free children's dental clinic set for Feb 28
HUNTINGTON -- A free dental clinic for children ages 2 to 18 is set for 8 a.m. to noon Friday, Feb. 28, at the office of Dr. James Butler and Dr. Nika Hettlinger, 324 29th St., Huntington.
The clinic is in conjunction with the American Dental Association's Give Kids a Smile Program.
Dentists will be screening children without dental insurance, CHIPS or Medicaid. Cleanings, X-rays and restorative treatments will be administered as time allows.
