Man arrested in Ashland drug case
ASHLAND — An Ashland man was arrested at his home Thursday evening in what a police press release described as an undercover drug investigation.
Dee A. Mauk, 48, of Ashland, is charged with first-degree drug trafficking and tampering with evidence. The arrest took place at Mauk’s residence, located in the 5100 block of Blackburn Ave. He was placed in the Boyd County Detention Center.
The press release, issued by the Boyd County Sheriff’s Office, states the arrest followed the undercover sale of oxycodone tablets. That led to a search warrant that revealed cash, narcotics and morphine tablets. It further states a person in the investigation attempted to eat pills when confronted by the search warrant.
