Water leak evacuates nursing home
SOUTH POINT, Ohio — A Lawrence County, Ohio, nursing home had to evacuate its residents early Monday because of a water leak within its facility.
The Fayette Township Volunteer Fire Department was called to River’s Bend Health Care about 1:30 a.m. Monday, according to Lawrence County 911. It is located at 335 Township Road 1026 in South Point, Ohio.
A dispatcher said reports indicate the leak was related to the sprinkler system. Evacuated residents were moved to other area facilities.
A company representative was unavailable for comment Monday morning.
