Man reports being robbed at knife point while asleep

The following information was provided by the Huntington Police Department:

FIRST-DEGREE ROBBERY: A 23-year-old man reported that he was sleeping in the 800 block of 61/2 alley at 1 a.m. Friday when he was approached by an unknown man who brandished a knife and demanded money. The victim did not have money, and the suspect got away with the man's debit card and cellphone.

BURGLARY: A 47-year-old woman reported that someone broke the window to her residence in the 300 block of Short Street between 5 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Friday and stole $500 in jewelry and $300 in collectible knives.

GRAND LARCENY: A 67-year-old Ashland woman reported several pieces of jewelry were missing from her late mother's room at the Woodlands Retirement Community. The loss is estimated at $5,300.

UNARMED ROBBERY: A 46-year-old man was walking in the 2200 block of Washington Avenue at 9:35 p.m. Friday when he was approached by two unknown men who struck him. When he was down, he said they took his wallet and fled.

BREAKING AND ENTERING AUTO: A complainant from Frontier Communications reported that someone entered a company truck while it was parked in the 4500 block of Altizer Avenue between 5 p.m. Thursday and 7:30 a.m. Saturday. A GPS, test modules, driver drill, three drill sets, 1,000 feet of wiring and 500 feet of coaxial cable were reported missing. The loss is estimated at $1,400.

BREAKING AND ENTERING: A complainant from Fastenal reported that sometime between 5:30 p.m. Friday and 10:30 a.m. Saturday, someone broke a window to enter the business in the 2000 block of 3rd Avenue and stole a wallet, band saw and circular saw.

BREAKING AND ENTERING OUT BUILDING: A 77-year-old man reported that sometime between 12:30 and 10 a.m. Saturday, someone cut the lock to his out building in the 300 block of West 24th Street and stole a cordless drill, weed eater, mower and copper. The loss is estimated at $800.

LARCENY: A 27-year-old man reported that someone stole six costumes, two wigs, a flat iron and makeup valued at $2,300 from his residence in the first block of 26th Street between Nov. 15 and Dec. 1. He reported that several people live at the residence.

SECOND-DEGREE ROBBERY: A 51-year-old man reported that he was walking home from a bar in the 900 block of Rear Jackson Avenue at 11:50 p.m. Sunday when a dark SUV drove into the alley. Someone in the vehicle hit him with the door, then got out and struck him in the face. His wallet, containing $200 in cash, was taken.

BREAKING AND ENTERING AUTO: A 31-year-old Charleston woman reported she was visiting a friend in the 1300 block of 3rd Avenue from 11:30 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Saturday. In the morning, she discovered skate bag with equipment, bridesmaid dress, CDs and military overnight bag were missing. She was unsure if the doors were locked. The loss is estimated at $2,600.

Ricky Earl Pickens, 54, was incarcerated at 1:05 p.m. Monday. Authorities in Mason County charged him with felony capias. Bond was denied.

Leslie Danielle Dabney, 32, was incarcerated at 1:05 p.m. Monday. Authorities in Cabell County charged her with felony bail piece. Bond was denied.

Chasity Brook Griffith, 27, was incarcerated at 4:10 a.m. Monday. Authorities in Cabell County charged her with being a fugitive from justice. Bond was denied.

Haden Thomas Burton, 36, was incarcerated at 3:50 a.m. Monday. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with being a fugitive from justice. Bond was denied.

Toni Lynn Cremeans, 38, was incarcerated at Sunday evening. Authorities in Cabell County charged her with felony violation of home confinement. Bond was denied.

James Eric Gupto, 35, was incarcerated Sunday evening. Authorities in Cabell County charged him with felony nighttime burglary. Bond was $15,000.
